6.5 miles in Sunnol Reginal Wilderness Park

There was 1300 feet in 1.5 miles. The uphill part was the worst muddy trail that one couldn’t possibly make the steps. So, we detoured by straightening the zig zag.

Yes, we actually made it even strenuous. Every step on the hill, I feel like turning back and may be going home…

However, there’s no way back because we all know it was much easier to have climbed up that steep hill than going down.

As the hill gets higher, we felt serener, with only the sound of wind, breathe, wild thoughts, and occasional “moos” of cow.

Ever since that, we became fearless. The rest of the trail, we just leapt between swirled creek and circled back to the finish point.

We are so proud of ourselves.
