[Balloon Pilot Call, at Glow Show Dawn Patrol]
Imagine in the complete darkness early in the morning, the hot air balloons were line up in a row, with lights coming from firing the torches going on and off, like giant glowing light bulbs. After a series of glow show, gradually the balloons began one by one ascending into the air along with aspiring music. Suddenly there was nothing but glowing balloons floating against the dark sky, like twinkling stars, like dancing fire flies. It was magical and breathtaking. It gave me goosebumps! It was the best part of the annual Great Reno Balloon Race. And that’s why so many of us woke up 4 am in the morning, wrapped ourselves in blanket and warm jackets, lying on the grass, still sleepy, just to be awed by this moment.

[Blowing up the balloon]
Here, we were learning how the crew blow up this huge balloon and make it into the air. They first use a big fan to blow cold air into the balloon, then they fire the torches to heat up the air that’s in the balloon as the balloon stands up straight and ready to go.
