This is me, Erika. It’s great you are here.

I am a young dreamer, in love with adventures, easily excited with beautiful things around, compelling me to notice, capture, and share. Naturally.

I soon discovered the artsy photographic part of me and I decided to embrace and unfold that part. Now, I feel stronger and stronger everyday that – this is meant to be.

Hero, in the name of this website, is a wonderful husband. My life has somehow changed… for the better, since I met this guy. We learn from each other on a daily basis, and grow ourselves as a family. I am given a great amount of freedoms and opportunities, to chase my dreams and live my passion. I pinch myself every morning and I am grateful for every moment I am given.

When I am not traveling, shooting, and writing, we do things like hiking, shopping at farmer’s market, and watching good inspiring films. On the other side of the life, we strive to live on organic whole foods, because it is our responsibility to the environment. So we reduce and reuse whenever possible, use natural bodycare products, and make natural household cleaners.

I invite you to connect with me in the following ways: become a fan on Facebook,  email me at  erika@honeynherophotography.com or simply leave comments or feedback.

Update: I have been continuing this blog in a new website: Honeynhero Photography. Please continue to follow me over there. Thanks!

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I just nominated you for the “Versatile Blogger” award for WordPress! I had to write a post about my own nomination- it’s a tradition, I guess.

If you decide to continue the posting tradition you need to:

    1. write seven random things about yourself

    2. nominate 15 bloggers that you follow

    3. put the “Versatile Blogger” picture (you can find it on my blog on the very first post on the homepage) on your post.

    Happy Blogging! : )

  3. I love your blog!

  6. Hello, I have a quick couple of questions for you. Well, first let me introduce myself. I’m Janelle and I’m currently the art editor for Murmurations Magazine. I was wondering if your photography was original, and I was wondering if you would be interested in writing about your adventures in Yosemite (unless there is something else you would prefer to write about) and submit it to the magazine. Let me know if you have any questions.

  7. So glad you enjoyed your visit with the baby goats at Redwood Hill Farm. We’d love to send you some recipes for goat milk frozen yogurt, ice creams, pops and gelato to try out this summer.

  8. I think you and your blog are great and am passing along an award! Head over to my page for details – http://thepathny.wordpress.com/

The guidelines for accepting this award are:
    1. Copy the Beautiful Blogger Award logo and place it in your post.
    2. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
    3. Nominate 7 other bloggers for their own Beautiful Blogger Award, and comment
on their blogs to let them know.

    Please keep writing and sharing.

  9. Hi Erika:

My name is Frank Cava. Before I begin I want to tell you how much I respect what you are doing with your blog. It is a pleasure to read. Back in April of 2011 my wife Catherine and I decided that we wanted to chase a dream and start an underground supper club. Our concept is called “Segreto” which is Italian for secret. We held our first dinner on April 9th 2011 and last Saturday we celebrated our 20th service with a great group of new and returning “Segreto Famiglia” Here is how we explain our vision:

Segreto is a neighborhood supper club designed to alter the way in which we partake in the “dining” experience. During your time here our greatest challenge and success can be simply put: If you’re happy, we are happy.

Segreto is open on selected dates with communal seating limited to 22 diners per service. The menu for each event is based on a fixed, four-course dinner, served family style. Our menus are focused on preparing locally sourced, rustic Italian fare, with a special attention on quality ingredients, seasonality, freshness and simplicity. All of which are the hallmarks of true Italian cookery. The setting for Segreto events changes depending on the date of service, but no matter where we meet, the emphasis is always on providing a dining experience built on the conviviality, openness, caring, and love of the Italian family table. With this in mind we simply can’t go wrong.

In our case one of the key components that makes the Segreto concept work is building new communities around the shared experience of the family table. To this end we try and get people from all over the Bay Area to come and experience a new type of “networking”, and for many, a new type of “dining”. By sharing a meal together, perhaps a glass of wine, laughing, and finding new ways of understanding and knowing one another, we hope to build a new sense of community. So far we have had guests from Austin Texas, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Menlo Park Atherton, Los Gatos, Napa, the Almaden, Silver Creek, Willow Glenn, Happy Valley, Berryessa, the Rose Garden, Shasta Hanchett, the Northside, Japan Town, and of course, at almost every dinner so far, Naglee Park.

Here is a link to our website: http://web.me.com/segreto/Site

Our next Segreto Famiglia dinner is going to be held on July 21st 2012 (Locations TBA 24 – 48 hours before service) We would love to have you attend a dinner sometime and you are welcome to share our link on you amazing Blog anytime. The more ways we can spread the word about the Segreto Famiglia the better chance I think we will have in making this dream become real.

Thanks so much for your time.
